Deconstruction of Javanese Belief in Trilogy Novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari


Wrong perception, ideology, or beliefs are give a major impact on people's behavior in taking a decision and action. Ignorance, poverty and crime are the result of trespass in dealing with life and it is nothing other than the effect of trust in looking up to the world. The fanatical of Javanese people about dynamism and animist, make them incapable of aligning themselves with the highest purpose of life. They faltered when confronted with new values, making them fall into political tragedy of 1965. This phenomenon requires a dismantling of the concept of attentive beliefs. This was the background of the presence of this study. In this study the issues that will be investigated, are (1) how the dominance of public confidence in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari through Rasus and Srintil figures?, (2) how the hegemony of public confidence in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari through Rasus and Srintil figures?, (3) how the deconstruction of the Javanese people beliefs in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari through Rasus and Srintil figures?
This research used qualitative approach. The activities are describing, analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, people thoughts individually or in groups. Data sources in this research was the trilogy novel of Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad Tohari with 404 pages. Data collection technique in this study, was documentation researchtechnique because the object of the research was text and document. Data analysis technique used reducing, presenting the data and giving conclusions.
The research showed (1) the dominance of public trust in the form of Javanese domination belief in spirits and belief in supernatural power, (2) the hegemony of the Javanese trust in the form of hegemony belief in spirits, and belief in the power of magic. It was spread through the figures of organic intellectuals and performed in places where non-formal, through common sense elements, uncoordinated, random and unsystematic, (3) Rasus deconstruction on Javanese belief is with not to trust to the spirits, not to belief to the power of magic, believe in God the Almighty, and run Islamic law. The conclusions of this research was decontruction of Javanese belief in trilogy novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk by Ahmad      Tohari can understood by figures and figuration of Rasus. Ahmad Tohari trough his idea was traying to decontuction belief system of Javaneses.
